Rules

  Please follow the Sierra Club Rules of Conduct during the trip:

1. Practice a strong wilderness ethic.
2. Leave no trace.
3. Camp only on sites already impacted.
4. Pack out all waste.
5. Be helpful to and respectful of others.
6. Avoid lightning.
7. Avoid hypothermia.
8. Avoid heat exhaustion.
9. Be prepared for rapid weather changes.
10. Be prepared for water purification.
11. Obey orders from the trip leader and assistant leader.
12. Report all injuries, illness, and lost individuals to a leader immediately.

  These rules exist for the benefit of all and the environment!

Canceled Outings Policy

  An outing will not run if:

1. The air temperature is above 90 degrees F
2. The air temperature is below 30 degrees F
3. There is a chance of lightning
4. There is a chance of severe weather
5. Heavy snow is forecast
6. High winds are forecast
