MVG Outings Leader-in-Training

Ronda Nelson is a new leadership recruit. During the Spring of 2008 she has been organizing and leading informal local outings while John Calandra has been recouperating from shoulder surgery. Ronda's enthusiasm, ability to organize these outings, concern for the environment and desire to lead earned her a spot on our leadership roster. She is engaged in Sierra Club leadership training and will be taking first-aid training. Ronda also earned a scholarship to the Iowa DNR's American Wilderness Leadership School. By the end of June Ronda will be a well-trained, certified leader so look for her outings in your e-mails and this site's Schedule page. Welcome Ronda! E-mail: pinoakrd@msn.com
